Look what I found
I just found this picture on SRU's website today. It is from a bit ago when I helped put on that panel with the President of the University talking about the use of technology for the students of today. I think it is a good pic.

Bayer offer
Bayer called and gave me a verbal offer. There is more info coming in the mail but the basics are $44,200 a year, I would enter their "college new hire program" as an employee (not trainee or intern or anything like that). In this program I would work 2 different positions for six months each and then I would be placed into a permenant position. This position would most likely be SAP development, as I heard at the interviews.
It's a good offer. I'm glad to have a good benchmark for other positions now. I will probably ask for $40,000 on applications to other employers. I'm going to review the information that Bayer is sending me but I expect to find similar positions in Harrisburg (where I want to be) and hopefully they won't be doing SAP. Even though SAP is a valuable skill in the job market (there are tons of jobs looking for SAP experience on Monster.com), I don't think it's what I want to do.
When I get the info from Bayer I'll post anything new I might learn. I'm going to think about it for a week but if I feel the same as I do now then I'm going to turn it down. I could accept until I find another offer but I would feel bad taking this job out of hands of another soon to graduate senior who, like myself, is trying to figure out what he or she is going to be doing after graduation.
More to come. Good news for me, even though I was already fairly sure that Bayer would offer. And the money is good, so now I know what to expect.

Ice
I hate ice. I think that God made ice to tell man, "I don't want you to be here." Slippery Rock is living up to it's name as everything is currently covered in ice.
