Virus Article

I'm writing an article for The Rocket, SRU's student newspaper. I'm writing about the virus campus got this year and how it was taken care of much more quickly than the virus we got last year. It should be in the paper that comes out Friday. I'll be sure to put a link to the online version of my article.

First day of classes

I had my first day of classes today. I went to Advanced Programming, Reading in German, Physical Geology and the corresponding Geology lab. All seem like good classes. I did have a little mix up with room numbers because they moved my Phys. Geo. class without telling me..grrr. I ended up in a meteorology class. Not a good situation. But I was only 10 minutes late and the professor expected some people to be confused.

Weigh in

There's been clamoring for a picture to see my South Beach progress. Sadly I cannot post one now because I don't have my camera set up and (at least the last time I tried to use it) my camera wasn't working. I need to do further diagnostic work to figure out if it is my memory card or the camera :( I have been sticking to the South Beach pretty strictly. I weighed in this morning at 263. That is 31 lbs. lighter than when I started :)

Lindsay is here!

I'm so happy. Lindsay moved in today. She says "Hi" to everyone.

Feel better Nanna

The virus is taken care of!

The virus situation is almost completely solved. All the students run a CD I give them and it fixes it. I don't even have to be there while they do it. I was afraid I was going to work a lot of crazy hours again. Also, no one could connect and another RNA and I figured out what was wrong and told the help desk how to fix it and get internet access back for all of the students! Yay!

WOW!

Everyone seems to like the blog. I think that's great! When you post a comment don't worry about the user/id prompt just say to post anonymous but be sure to sign your name at the end or I won't know who it's from.

Books

I got my books today. My total came out to be $290.48 and I even had one of my books already! Good thing I have my book scholarship to take care of most of that. Thanks for sending me that book, Mom.

Sorry about the goofy picture in my profile on the left. I don't have any better ones. If anyone has a good replacement PLEASE send it to me!

Virus again!?!?!

Well training week for Resident Network Assistants such as myself and Jon is over. We didn't get too much training done, again, because the campus is getting a big virus, again! That's okay though. Jon and I won't be as busy as I was last year. The campus is WAYYYYY more prepared this year. It will mean some extra work for me however :( That's okay though. The residents are very understanding this year which has made all of the difference. Jon and I had previously wanted to move off campus our senior year but are now rethinking it. The RNA job pays well, and we couldn't keep them if we moved off campus. We are now considering the possibility of living in a ROCK apartment. They're on campus so we could still keep our RNA jobs and also not have to live in the dorms.

Move in

I'm about 90% settled in my new room. It is right next the the triple room that Jon, Josh and I lived in last year. Jon (skinny tall guy with long black hair) and I are living together this year. Josh (quiet little guy with curly hair) and Other Brandon (I don't think anyone has met him but he's a good friend) will move in next door on Sunday. I've got my computer working again, thank goodness. Our things are all set up in the room, but we still need to get our carpet from Josh's house. SRU has changed it's phone system so that now Jon and I have seperate lines. My new number is 724-406-1156. You can still email me at BCH7666@sru.edu. That's all for now. If you have any questions about my room situation you can click on the "comments" like below this text and leave a comment. It'll be automatically be emailed to me and I'll post the answer here :)

Welcome to my blog!

Hi, everyone. I have decided that because I have such a busy schedule here at SRU, I should figure out a better way to mass communicate. This way everyone will know the most recent information about what I'm doing here at school and how life is. Posts will always show on this page, dated, with the most recent post on top. I'll be pretty timely about putting information here and will probably quote emails that I get from everyone here in addition to mailing back, that way everyone gets to hear. I think it will work out great. I'll even try to include pictures from time to time! Talk to you all soon.
