Relay Wrap Up
I haven't posted this info before out of disappointment. Relay for Life was cancelled part way through. It rained the whole time. I started my shift walking at 3am in the pouring rain. At about 4:30 the lightening started. Everyone was moved inside a university building that had a track and so I finished out my shift until 7am there. At about 9am the event was called. It was still raining. People's tents had collapsed in because of all of the water. Quite terrible.
They're lucky they cancelled when they did actually. It snowed Saturday and was still going during some of my classes this morning. :( I have a growing distain for this weather thing. It's almost May for goodness sakes.
Relay was still good regardless. I didn't get a final count on donations but I'm sure we did well. Thanks to everyone who donated. It was for a good cause, so I suppose ending early wasn't so bad.
